Kids first day of school

So today was the kids first day of school, Ethan in Kinder and Evan in Pre K. They are both some of the youngest in their class since their birthday is not til October. We took Evan first since he is the one who gets nervous and really does not like people looking at him. We were the fist ones there, standing by the door he looks at me and says his belly hurts. My poor little guy is just like his dad, they get so nervous. We walked in and he had his big brother with him so he was set to go, he wasn't afraid of anyone or anything even though is brother is! lol We waited a few minutes until he made a friend and sat down. He only goes from 8 - 11 but for him it's a big step.

Ethan next, the school was jam packed! it was nice to see so many parents (and by that I mean both parents) there to see their kids off to school on their first day. We got there just as the late bell rang. He was okay, he knows most of the kids and the teacher since he was in the summer school prep program. I was sort of bummed he did not get his best fried Hayden in the same class. I took a few pictures, I know, I'm a total mom the ones who are trying to squeeze through things to get pictures of their kid. Oh well. I said bye baby and I love you and he just sorta half waived like saying okay get out. Ethan is so independent I never really have to worry about him, he is alot like I was.

The baby I know was happy! jk, he did take advantage though and made his dad carry him all through the store after we dropped Ethan off. It was a bit odd to be awake so early and to be with just the baby, I mean I'm not complaining but it felt odd.

This past weekend was funny too. Friday we went to party city and found the boys some costumes on sale and Thomas decided to get some silly string to mess with them. So Friday night he tells Ethan to look in his nose because he felt something and then BAM he squirts silly string, then squirts Evan. They froze for about 2 seconds before they went CRAZY!!!! and I mean CRAZY!!! they were panicking and screaming and me and Thomas laughing and the baby just confused standing there watching all of us. I so regret not having my video ready, it would have been a sure winner at AFV. Took them like 3 minutes to chill and relax and realize what it was.

Saturday was not good, on our way to El Centro to deliver a cake and visit family the Jeep did not start after we pumped gas. Sighs, tow truck came, simple fix, well sort of, a $170 battery plus the $35 jump fee. Oh well. My mother in law was nice enough to come up in case we needed something and she brough the lunch she had ordered since we were suppose to go down to her place. Saturday sucked a bit, we were drained and upset because we are trying to get a budget for something and got hit with that expense. Could have been worse though right?

Sunday I took the boys to my  moms for about 5 hours. She then dropped them off and we starting preparing dinner because my brother came to visit. I had not seen him in months, I know, we just live like 30 minutes away. I guess were just like that though, but he did come which was nice. We made hot dogs and bean burgers and chips and ice cream. It was nice, the boys had a blast with their cousins and me and my brother got to talk alot and joke around.

Sorry I made this one so long people but I had missed a few days.

One Day Closer...

to the kids starting school...yay! I know it sounds mean but I am looking forward to it. Not just because it gives me some time away from them and them from me but also because I get to be involved and see them grow and learn.

I feel so proud of my Ethan who is going to be in kindergarten, I mean, he is my baby, he was the first one, the one that I could not stop staring at when he was born and now he has his own attitude, his own backpack and he goes out and does things on his own. He loved the summer school pre k program the teacher said he was such a big helper. It felt so weird to drop him off and see him from the other side of the fence just carry on like he is his own person, he is not! he belongs to me he is my person! :-) :-( Bitter sweet I suppose.

My lil Evan is going off to pre K too just for 3 hours but its a big step, I was so proud of him during his mini camp. I feel great that he gets to go too and he gets to ride in the mornings to his own school, makes me feel like he gets his own piece of independence.

As for me, well I have a new career to perfect and I have not been able to due to the kids and work, kinda hard ya know? So with 3 hours free of kids I can make a dent in my new idea so that maybe I can be out of this computer work! I really am tired of sitting here working. Sighs, must move on.

I slept in Evans bed last night, what a NIGHTMARE, that boy cannot sit still, OMG I think I woke up like 20times to tell him to get off of me. Thomas was having a bad day so I decided to give him some space to watch TV alone and relax so I sacrificed my bed! next time he can get alone time downstairs lol.

Hmmm guess a few cute things happened today, Ethan and Evan washed dishes together, Ethan changed the babies clothes, Evan like usual says the funniest things. They both went to my moms house this evening and the baby to their other grandmas house to give us a break and time for me to research some stuff for my new venture. It was nice, we had dinner, bought the boys a surprise, come color by number packets with markers and glow sticks. I like to buy them arts and crafts type stuff, keeps them busy and opens that side of the brain to creativity. Maybe it's just because as a little kid I loved those types of things. I was telling Thomas the other day that I remember going with my parents to Calexico on weekends and I would buy these tiny little made in china pianos that came with gum pieces and a little playing book. I use to love it!!!!!! of course I have no idea how my mom never told me to stop the damn noise! I know I would if my kids had one of those, but I guess noise bothers me more than it did my mom back then.

My dad was the one who always bought me the cool art packs, since he didn't see me daily it was easy for him to spoil me. He now does the same for my kids, he comes over and listens to whatever they want to say and goes along with whatever dumb idea they have going. LOL funny to see them with my dad. At my moms Tony lets them walk all over him, kinda like he use to with me too, he has always been kids favorite. My mom stuffs them with food, typical her, she is always making food trying to feed everyone. Thomas' mom is the one they expect toys from, she goes on shopping sprees all the time to buy them big toys , little toys, dollar toys, $10 toys, she's a sucker for buying them what they want. Of course she does the same with her son, I have caught him a few times telling me "fine, I'll ask mom she will buy it for me" LOL ?????

Now I'm just blabbing on but who cares? this blog is for me and my boys so my thoughts are welcomed :-)

Anyhow, so a bit better of a day, still have alot to do for the rest of the week, I have a beach cake and some graduation cupcakes due this weekend so I have baking starting tomorrow. Uggghhh means I have to clean the kitchen really well tomorrow morning.

Love you my boys :-) even though some days there is not enough time for lots of hugs and cuddling between all 3 and work and house and feeding you I love you guys so much. You're my very important reason to take bigger steps and safer steps and keep my cool through alot of the stress. <3 Nite nite.

One of those days

Yesterday was a very bad day for all of us, I think we all woke up on the BITCHY side of the bed. By the time I had finally moved away from that it was late at night so blah........

Hoping today is a better day, hope the kids can behave. I need to start planning on their school supplies, still not sure what they will need besides just a backpack but I will find out soon enough I suppose. I don't remember when I was that little so I can't really say I know what the teachers expect not to mention no one sends letters with info anymore, or maybe it just seems that way since it's my first time.

I really can't wait for them to start, I love them but we really all  need a break from each other. Most days are okay but I don't feel we appreciate each other like we should since we are always together. I think it's going to be a good thing for the kids. I know during their summer programs at the community center things were good, I was so proud of them daily and happy to see them and talk to them instead of OMG do you ever stop talking! lol I know most parents feel that way, I just don't feel bad about saying it outloud. Kids can be very annoying many times :-)

Anyhow, I need to start waking them up early starting tomorrow and on a breakfast schedule, right now they eat breakfast late and I don't want them going off to school with an empty belly. So okay enough for this morning, I will write up later.

Pampering Momma

Well today was my 29th birthday, I woke up and like usual went to lay in bed with the kids in their room for a few minutes. I asked Ethan if he knew what today was and he said "Saturday" lol I said yes, you're right and it's also mommas birthday. He smiled and said "we need to make a cake." As I laid there dozing off Evan goes to my feet and ask if my feet hurt and I said yes my feet always hurt because I am always busy cleaning and cooking. My lil guy starts massaging my feet, this is the first time without me having to ask.

We later decided to go out and take the kids to costco to get something to eat for them to take to Nana's house and let them taste test since they seem to enjoy that. They got to taste raviolis and some cheese danishes and some cheesecake. We arrived at nana's and Ethan tells her "you know what today is? it's a special day, it's mommas birthday" my sweet pumpkin.

Thomas and I took off to grab something to eat, although we have become 99% vegetarian I was craving Famous Daves bbq chicken! so that is what we did. Thomas had salmon and I had bird, it was delicious. We then left to petco to get his moms cat a new toy, I thought it would be nice since she always gets my kids stuff lol even if I am allergic to the kitty I love cats. Following Petco I went into burlington to pick out a shirt, even though the store is usually a mess they carry unique shirts.

So after hours of being out we finally headed home. Ethan amazes me sometimes, I started cleaning up because a friend of mine was going to drop by with her family to bring me a cake, Ethan suggested he do the dishes because it was my birthday and I shouldn't do them. He actually did a really good job, maybe even better than me. He looked so cute standing on the chair washing away, scrubbing any little specs of food, he even washed a pot. He took his time and did an awesome job. Evan in the meantime decided to help me clean our chairs.

All in all it has been a good day now just waiting on Thomas to shower so I can shower and then watch a movie finally after trying all week to find time. I loved the fact that the boys made the day about me even as little as they are they found their own little ways to spoil me. Maybe it's a good thing that I have all boys :-) I will be the one they all spoil.

Another year in my life gone, I think back back back in time at memories I have and things seem to have happened in a different life. All I know now is what I have now, my boys, seems like they have been here forever. Life before them seems to have been boxed up and put away.

Another Friday Gone

So today was one of those boring days where we were all going crazy. I did alot of cleaning in the kitchen and back TV room and then headed up stairs to the kids rooms. The boys watched Tv and colored and found ways to get in trouble like usual. I ended up letting them play in the tub as I vacuumed up their room and ours.

After Dinner they got a chance to play outside, the two older ones rode bikes and  the baby just ran around being crazy. Ethan came up to me and said "you need to do something about my bike I can't ride it like this" but he has this 15 year old girl attitude look on his face lol I can only get so mad as he gets it from me.

Now I am just waiting for thomas to finish watering his jungle outside so we can spend some time together and watch a movie. At midnight I turn 29, I'm sure he will make fun of me as soon as the clock turns to 12. I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like just yesterday we were living in Imperial Beach driving by the coast trying to figure out what we wanted to eat.

This morning the boys made me laugh...last night I had to put a diaper on Ethan to prove a point, he had peed his brothers bed and he seems to do that often when he sleeps at my moms. So he hates even the idea of being in a diaper since he is the oldest and Evan waste no time in poking fun. Anyhow, so I put a diaper on, he was very upset with me and Evan was loving every second. Thomas later went in to do hugs and kiss and when he came downstairs with me I asked him if he told him and he said no, he is not wearing one. I thought, ok he took it off. Well this morning I saw he had it and Evan wasted no time in jumping up real quick "Ty (ethan) lied to Dawo (his dad) he said he did not have a diaper but he does have a diaper" LOL Ethan gave him that look, then he looked at me, then looked down and said "I just didn't want dawo to know I had to wear a diaper" aawwww he doesn't want to be that kid to his dad. So I said "ok, I understand but now I see that you can go all night with not peeing the bed so we will see how you do tomorrow."

Just very funny to me that they tell on each other and pick on each other, I can't imagine what it is going to be like when they are teenagers.

these two are inseparable
earlier pics of them always together

no doubt Eden will be part of their group

My First Blog Post

My first blog post is way over due. I was suppose to start blogging or keeping a journal from the day I got pregnant with my first son, yes 1st, I have 3 now. He was born in 2006 so you can see how late I am with this. There are 5 of us in the family, Ethan who is 4 going on 5, Evan is 3 going on 4 and Eden is just 1. Ethan and Evan are 364 days apart, yes, very hectic life we live. And to throw more on the plate we have a 2 year old dog named Vinny.

We just moved into our house, finally, after years of struggles and frustrations, we have our house with a huge yard which we plan to use. Except in the summer of course since we live in the desert. The kids love it, they love the yard, the patio, the fact that the neighborhood is nice and clean and we can go to the track park in less than 2 minutes, actually to anything we want within two minutes. Their school is down the street, the store is too, the pharmacy and pizza!

I don't know when I became so domesticated, I never thought I would want kids or commitments of that magnitude. Maybe I was just young and enjoying my time. It slowly crept in on me though, we have been together almost 10 years now, we had the first baby after 4-5 years into it, then the second was a complete surprise three months after I had the first. Then in 2010 their dad had an idea, he wanted and needed a baby lol

So here I am, 3 kids into it and still refusing to do the marriage thing, hey, at least I can hold on to that and make myself believe I am not totally domesticated :-) We are happy unmarried and I am okay with that. Before my SO (significant other) decided on baby #3 I wanted a puppy for my boys, and I wanted nothing else except a bully breed. So we picked up Vinny at 4 months old. Of course he is not a little puppy anymore, he is a big 67lb pitty.

So intro to my family. Me, I am the only girl in my family with only one older brother. I grew up in the desert, and now I am back in the desert. After HS I moved away to go to school, that did not work out. I have a thing about locking down into something for the rest of my days. So I became self employed, struggles, but I still am, and I am ready to go from one industry to another because I have become bored. Happens to me alot, why I never thought I would be here 10 years into a relationship and 3 kids and a dog.

Me
My SO is just like me. Our main goal is for the kids to have more than we did and not just financially. I don't write or talk much about him because, well, we are just private about our life. We are happy, we have ups, downs and in betweens but we mesh up pretty well. Total opposites but at the end of the day we have each other. So just because I don't go on and on about how in love I am does not mean I am not lol I love my babe, I don't know what I would do if he ever just seized to exist. I love him and hate him all at once, he drives me crazy and I return the favor :-)

Thomas and Evan
Ethan, he is all attitude, poor kid received both hot sides of his parents. He is also very sensitive though and very passionate. One big thing he also got from both of us is his artistic ability. He is not even 5 yet and he colors better than some adults. He has an attitude like I use to, well maybe I still have it, and his dads temper.
He loves his brothers though and defends them against anyone who tries to take advantage of them. He is scared of the dark and bugs :-) but he is smart as a whistle.
my pumpkin head Ethan
Evan, he is such a little weirdo, no, seriously he is. He walks funny, he thinks funny, he talks funny, he is just a ball of uniqueness. I love my little Peanut butt. He is so sensitive and affectionate, he tells us he loves us for no reason at all. He is a deep thinker and even though sometimes we think he has his heads in the clouds I think he knows more than we think. He isn't dumb, he knows just what to do and say and how to make his big brother super mad. Kid loves his cookies and candy and anything that has sugar in it.

such a looker, green/brown eyes and dimples

Eden, baby Eden, he brings joy to all of us. The kids get happy when they see him and we just love him even when he wakes up late at night to just say hi. He is a mix of Ethan and Evan, he is such a smartie, I mean we all think our kids are smart but this kid has sarcasm built into him. He is such a love bug, loves to hug and squeeze but also loves to bug his brothers when he is bored. He loves yo gabba gabba and he likes to make Vinny entertain him. I am so glad we had him, even though it makes things a bit harder with certain parts of life he brings so much joy it is worth every minute. Well....maybe not when he is in the car crying.

my baby Eden
Vinny, aka dumb dog. He is such a good dog, he reminds me of my old Shrek who I had years before the kids were even thought of. He is so tolerant of the kids, loves them and plays with them. Nothing less than what you would expect from a bully dog, despite the bad rap they get. They are either loved or hated, and with hate comes abuse which in turn makes bad dogs. Not our Vinny, he gets to lick baby toes and eat scraps the kids drop off the table. He is such a sissy, I think he thinks he is a kid, he looks at us when there's a noise like we're suppose to go check it out. He has more than once alerted us of danger with the kids. He has proven to me he will do anything to protect them.

All in all we are a crazy bunch. We are all together 24/7, yes that's right, 24/7 so its common we sometimes want to strangle one another including the kids, and by that I mean they want to strangle us. I can't imagine my life without them, any of the 4, I would miss them. I think back at life before them, the freedom, the opportunities, the SLEEP! but you know what, I would not go back because then I wouldn't have them just the way they are.
